Piper has been in love with Whitelighter Leo for years, decades if you count past lives. They've been inches away from tying
the knot only to have the groom reduced to sparkly dust. Here's a recap of their star-crossed courtship that ends in a wedding
in episode #59.
Episode #10, Wicca Envy, Jan. 13, 1999: Piper begins dating her handyman, Leo. Prue gets framed for stealing a tiara and
Phoebe and Prue suspect Leo. Prue is found innocent and Leo mysteriously disappears from her life.
Episode #14, Secrets and Guys, Feb. 17, 1999: Leo reappears in Piper's life, but quickly disappears again. It's Phoebe
who catches him doing some of his own magic and his secret is revealed: Leo is a guardian of witches, a Whitelighter, who
has returned to help a young kidnapping victim. He admits he loves Piper but he cannot live among witches or mortals. Phoebe
tells Piper Leo's secret, but Piper chooses to believe that Leo left because he wanted to, not because he had to.
Episode #21, Love Hurts, May 19, 1999: Piper finally learns the truth about Leo after he returns to San Francisco to request
the help of the Charmed Ones. Leo is gravely injured and Piper evokes a spell to switch powers with him so she can save him.
He is saved, but she must say good-bye to him because he is a magical being who watches over witches and can never be with
her.
Episode # 24, Morality Bites: Piper finds out that, in the future, she has a daughter with Leo, but they were divorced.
Episode #26, The Devils Music, Oct. 21, 1999: Leo returns to the Charmed One's lives to help save innocents and Piper
struggles emotionally with her feelings for him.
Episode #28, That Old Black Magic, Nov. 11, 1999: Leo again comes to town to watch over the Charmed ones. Piper now has
a new love interest, Dan, and Leo finds out about him. Piper makes the difficult decision to end her romance with Leo and
begin anew with Dan.
Episode #34, Awakened, Feb. 3, 2000: Piper falls ill with a mysterious and life-threatening disease. Leo risks his code
of Whitelighter ethics and saves her life in the nick of time. Piper uttered Leo's name while recovering in the hospital and
has some explaining to do to Dan. Piper also learns Leo has lost his Whitelighter status because he broke the rules and saved
her life. Leo tells Piper his mortality will allow him to fight to win her love back.
Episode #36, Pardon My Past, Feb. 17, 2000: Piper learns that she was married to Dan in a past life but Leo was her lover.
In this past life, Piper apparently had to choose between Dan and Leo. She discovers Leo has known this all along.
Episode #41, Ex Libris, April 27, 2000: Dan informs Piper that Leo has a wife. Actually, it's a wife from his previous
life as a mortal. Piper visits her.
Episode #44, Be Careful What You Witch For, May 18, 2000: A genie enters the Charmed One's lives and Piper wishes Dan
would get over her. This turns Dan into a dying old man. Dan learns Piper is a witch and he is heartbroken. Piper arranges
through the genie to have Dan's memory of the whole experience erased. Piper orbs out with Leo to find out more about 'his'
world.
Episode #45, The Honeymoon's Over, Oct. 5, 2000 Piper travels to Leo's world to assist in solving a strange series of
murders. When they return, Leo asks Piper to marry him. After a heart-to-heart with her sisters Piper says yes.
Episode #46, Magic Hour, Oct. 12, 2000: Piper and Leo secretly plan their wedding day so that The Council cannot stop
them from tying the knot. When they think it's safe to get hitched, they have ghostly Grams oversee their ceremony. However,
Phoebe's newfound flame, the evil Cole, leaked the information to The Council and just as the ceremony is about to be completed,
Leo is turned into sparkling dust. Piper is devastated.
Episode #55, Blinded By the Whitelighter, Jan. 25, 01: A new Whitelighter, Natalie, enters the sisters' lives to help
them fight off a Darklighter, Aames. A strict Whitelighter, Natalie chastises Leo for his behavior toward the Charmed Ones.
When Leo and Natalie are in the Whitelighter sanctuary, she informs him she will determine if his feelings for Piper are interfering
with his work. When the Charmed Ones and all other Whitelighters and witches are in danger, Leo says his feelings are getting
in the way and asks Natalie to protect the sisters. Initially, the Charmed Ones, with Natalie's plan, fail to defeat Aames.
Leo comes to the rescue and with the help of the Charmed Ones, defeats Aames. As a reward, the Elders allow Piper and Leo
to become engaged.
Episode #57, Bride and Gloom, Feb. 8, 2001: The Elders are still behind the engagement and Piper and Leo continue to make
their wedding plans.
Episode #59, Just Harried. They finally get married!!!
