Laws on being a witch:
- A witch can be either male or female.
- There are two kinds of witches: Good witches, that can use their powers as long as they don't harm anyone. They live by the Wiccan saying: "And if it harm none, do what ye will". The other category consists of evil witches, or warlocks: These are witches whose only purpose is to steal the powers of other witches, usually by killing them.
- A good witch should not use his/her powers for personal gain.
- A good witch cannot fall in love with their Whitelighter.
- Warlocks do not have the right to have Whitelighters.
- Every witch must keep their Book of Shadows in a safe and sacred spot.

Laws on being a Whitelighter:
- A group of Whitelighters known as the Elders or the Founders rule over all Whitelighters and call them to inform them on their mission.
- Whitelighters are guardians and advisors for witches.
- When a Whitelighter-to-be dies, the Elders let him/her choose whether to become a Whitelighter or not. If they accept, they view all their past lives.
- Whitelighters should only use their power of healing on someone that was hurt by evil.
- Whitelighters are not supposed to eat while on their job.
- Whitelighters can only look after good witches, and MUST NOT fall in love with their charges.
- A Whitelighter should not inform a charge he/she has of his/her other charges.
- Whitelighters are not supposed to work with demons.
- Whitelighter cannot heal themselves or demons.
